The biggest and brightest Full Moon of 2009 will rise tonight, and you can catch it right at sunset. Which, here, is...just about now.Because of the Moon's eliptical orbit, it will be at perigee, meaning it will be closest to Earth and appear more than ten percent larger and thirty percent brighter than at other times.
*looks out window* Oh my!

I caught the one in 2008. But tonight it's cloudy and I can't see a thing.
It's beautiful when it's close, isn't it?
It really is. You can clearly see all the craters and features. Wow.
So sorry you've got cloud cover. That's the pits. :(
Wow! *looks out window* It is beautiful!!!
*Walks all the way around my house and finds no moon!* Noo! I missed it. That picture is beautiful though.
If only I had known that at the time! There's a delicious woman that I'm interested in who was nearby at sunset, and I totally could have used that info to my romantic advantage! Oh well.
